Mahindra launches its highly fuel efficient MKM Series of tractors in various South Asian Markets

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., the world’s largest tractor company by volumes, continues its commitment to provide highly fuel efficient tractors to its customers with the launch of its new MKM series of tractors that conform to the BSIIIA emission norms. The efficient transmission in these tractors ensures that most of the Engine Power is available at the Drawbar and Axles This allows the tractor to deliver high levels of Drawbar Power & higher productivity with minimal slippage making them ideal for all draft & PTO applications such as deep puddling, cultivation and harrowing.

These tractors in the 30-50 HP category, come with an all New MKM series of engines, that are more fuel efficient and offer much more torque. These direct injection, three & four cylinder engines with a high displacement and rated speed of only 1900 rpm, provide excellent torque characteristics, fuel efficiency and durability.

The heavy duty transmission with 8 forward and 2 reverse speeds is extremely easy to operate. Designed to match the impressive power and torque characteristics of the engine, the transmission incorporates very wide gears offering great strength. The foot operated differential lock allows power to be applied equally to both the rear wheels for maximum traction when needed.

Made of heavy-duty steel, the new design “Bow type” front axle offers added stability and control reducing the incidences of Front end lifting. These tractors are also available with Hydrostatic (Power) steering that reduce the steering efforts considerably.

A fully enclosed & sealed housing with large sized multiple discs are used in brakes on either side, so that a large frictional area is available for efficient braking of these tractors, even while hauling large loads.

These tractors are available with optional oil cooled brakes (wet discs brakes). In this design, the oil remove much of the heat generated by friction and keeps the discs cool resulting in much longer disc life.

Another highlight of the MKM Series tractors is that, almost the entire engine power is available at the PTO. This helps with substantial increase in productivity with PTO driven implements.

A very comfortable & roomy operator area is provided on these tractors, very much needed while operating these tractors for long hours. The uncluttered platform with a very wide passage makes for easy entry and exit.

All control levers are ergonomically placed and the hydraulics levers have been raised for an easy access.
