Mahindra Tractors launched its new MKM and 30 Series tractors in Macedonia, on October 8, 2014, in association with EvroStil,
a strong player in the agri market of Macedonia, who was appointed as a Mahindra distributor in June 2014.
“We currently sell tractors in the 40-70 HP range and over the years, our products have gained favour with Macedonian and Serbian farmers for their high quality, reliability, ease of operation and performance,” said Pravin Shah, CE - Automotive Division & IO – AFS, M&M Ltd. “The introduction of the MKM Series and 30 Series tractors will help us expand our footprint in the region, taking the Mahindra brand proposition of trust and credibility to an even greater number of farmers.” The MKM series of tractors in the 40-50 HP category, come with an all-new MKM series of direct injection, four cylinder engines.
The rugged and versatile 30 Series tractors in the 50-70 HP category are reliable workhorses, designed to perform multiple tasks and take on the rigours of work with ease.
Mahindra Tractors are ideal for a range of agricultural activities including cultivation, ploughing, harrowing and spraying on maize, wheat, tobacco and orchard farms.
The EvroStil team worked relentlessly in the marketplace to ensure that the launch of Mahindra Tractors would touch all pockets of Macedonian customers and influencers – starting with a formal invitation to arranging for logistics to make sure that approximately 250 people visit the launch location. Special invitees included opinion makers, village leaders and dignitaries from the local agricultural ministry.
Involving the media (national TV, radio and print) well in advance helped in generating excitement about the launch in the market
The EvroStil team was very pleasantly surprised when over 400 people gathered to witness the launch. It was conducted in a town hall fashion, with the local Mayor promoting the activity.
In addition, an eye-catching EvroStil pavilion displayed the entire Mahindra Tractor range, along with heavy duty implements and equipment. Local banks put up stalls offering finance schemes to interested customers. bEach visitor to the EvroStil stall was given a specially prepared Launch Kit, which included information on M&M, EvroStil and Mahindra products.
A Mahindra branded Service Van was also introduced at the event. All product queries were handled by the well trained EvroStil staff. Mr. Rajko Rajkoski, proprietor of EvroStil, addressed the visitors and spoke about the Mahindra brand. This was followed by an address by Mr. Manoj Dalvi, DGM – Exports, M& M Ltd., who spoke further about the Mahindra Group and the Mahindra product range. The highlight of the launch was a visit from an old customer who had completed 7200 hours and spoke highly about the quality of Mahindra tractors. The first customer of the newly introduced range of tractors was felicitated on this occasion.
After the launch there were live demonstrations of Mahindra products in a nearby field. Mahindra tractors performed well in the difficult field conditions making a lasting impression on the minds of the visitors. Post the launch event, the EvroStil team retailed the entire 90 days stock of tractors within 40 days.
