When Mahindra decided to tap the upcoming Iranian tractor market, it shook hands with Tractor Sazi Commercial Company (TCC), a subsidiary of the largest local tractor manufacturer - Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (ITMCO). Together, they marketed Mahindra tractors throughout the country.

In October 2006, the company launched its first tractor here. ITMCO-Mahindra 6000 DI 2WD. This 59 HP workhorse came loaded with power steering, partial synchromesh transmission and a unique initial fast moving spares kit. The machine soon became popular for its toughness, ruggedness and compatibility. Even today it's the first choice of Iran for cultivating acres and hauling tonnes.

But this is just the beginning. The company now plans to offer Iran newer models and farm equipments year after year.
